Een broodje - that can be anything from a bun in any form, could be a ciabatta for instance, to a slice of bread with cheese or a clubsandwich.
Krentenbollen - raisin buns - are also a staples.

The thin slicing is actually a way to show off the quality of the meat. The better the meat, the thinner you can slice it, but then we take a few slices. I guess we have a more frugal culture here. And yeah, to stay slim it does help to NOT eat a pound of meat every day ;)</description>
